I just wanted to send you a quick email to let you know how happy we were with our recent Hounds On Holiday experience. We have never before put our 3-½ yr old boxer, Lucy, into kennels, and the prospect of doing it terrified us. We also felt that we could no longer impose on friends to look after her, because she is such an energetic (and at times, stubborn) dog. Hounds On Holiday turned out to be the perfect solution.

The phone and email conversations were fantastic because we got into so much detail, followed by our face-to-face meeting. We described all of Lucy’s likes, dislikes, routines, and things that we would/would not allow for her. Putting her with a family that could deal with her excess energy levels meant that she was in constant company, and she got to do all the things that she does at home with us (in fact, I think she probably got even more exercise and attention!!).

The photos and doggie diary were a lovely touch, and hilarious too. We know that Lucy thoroughly enjoyed herself while we were away, and was definitely spoiled!  We would have no hesitation in letting your host family look after her again (although next time she may not want to come home!).

Thank you so much for offering such a fantastic and unique service. We will definitely recommend you to all our doggy friends.
